• Wellbody classes are offered to University students, faculty and staff interested in improving your relationship with food, learning to enjoy being physical active, and improving your body image for achieving life-long health and a healthy body weight.
  • Classes focus on eating behaviors and nutrition without traditional dieting or restriction, but rather through a non-diet approach emphasizing listening to your body’s internal cues and addressing eating in response to emotions and stress.
  • Wellbody classes attend to underlying mental issues related to body image and weight since these issues often drive our eating behaviors and lifestyle choices.
  • The program helps in motivating you to incorporate physical activity into your lifestyle that is enjoyable and sustainable.
  • This is a 6-week class, meeting weekly for 1 1/2 hours, OR an 8-week class meeting for an hour weekly. (Students: No class credit)
  • The Wellbody program includes two individual sessions with a registered dietitian, one at the beginning, and one at the end of the 6-weeks/8-weeks. Individual counseling sessions assist in one’s concerns with eating behaviors, body image and making lifestyle changes.
  • Participants have the option of screening for medical conditions with the following: cholesterol screen ($5), blood sugar test ($2), iron deficiency anemia screen ($3), and blood pressure (free).
  • 1st class FREE: Indroductory class to find out more about Wellbody.
  • Cost of Wellbody: $20 for students, $50 for faculty and staff ( includes 2 individual counseling sessions). Payment due by 2nd class. Students can pay with Student Charge. Cash or check also accepted.

**Note: The Monday class meets for an hour weekly for 8 weeks and the Thursday class meets for 1½ hours every week for 6 weeks.

Come by the Wellness Resource Center, 34 Brady Commons (downstairs at the end of the long hallway), to sign up for a class that best fits your schedule. Come by M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm, all WellBody dates, times and places will be listed there.
